When is the Optimal Time for IUI?

If you are familiar with infertility procedures or if you have started to research about infertility, you may have come across a procedure known as the IUI procedure.

Basically, an IUI procedure or Intrauterine Insemination is a laboratory preparation of a semen specimen and the placement into the uterus. This procedure is intended to increase the numbers of sperm by separating the sperm from the seminal fluid. The process also separates motile sperm from dead sperm and then placed through the cervix into the uterus using a flexible catheter.

Once introduced hopefully a sperm and egg can unite. Timing has a lot to do with the success of the IUI procedure. The easiest way to find the optimal time is to use ovulation kits. When the ovulation kit is positive, you should schedule your IUI.
